Telegram signal originals, edits and deleted messages
Build a version-aware observation packet without claiming that a later export recovers unseen originals or proves every deleted call.

Keep the first observation and its scope
A first observation is the earliest version the reviewer actually retained, not necessarily the earliest version ever published. State the distinction. Save the source reference, message identity, observed content, capture clock and context. If the record starts after an edit, the prior wording is unknown. A later screenshot cannot fill that gap just because it looks like an original announcement.
A prospective capture can support what that reviewer saw during its window. It does not establish every subscriber's device receipt or the absence of other instructions in private messages. Keep a separate inventory for each observed surface. If screenshots crop away the instrument, stop or time, retain them as partial evidence rather than completing their fields from later recaps.
Treat amendments as events
A stop adjustment may be a legitimate instruction update. A corrected typo may be harmless. A change to the stated entry after the move may be material. Preserve the change and its observed clock before deciding its significance. Compare the publisher's predeclared amendment rule with the available records, and avoid classifying every edit as deception or every correction as immaterial.
Do not replace the setup row with its last version. Link a version table to the originating family and preserve cancellation, expiry and close events. If the author changes a target after a partial exit, the applicable sequence matters more than the final target visible today. An available edit marker alone does not reconstruct previous text or the subscriber action that preceded it.
Record deletion uncertainty honestly
A previously retained post that later disappears supports a disappearance finding for that observed object. A gap in numeric IDs does not by itself prove that a losing call was removed: the missing object's content and meaning may be unknown. Keep the gap without labelling it a loss. Investigate the retained population and the archive policy rather than inventing a trade to occupy every missing reference.
Use a clear unresolved status where the source cannot supply an original. A missing message can affect confidence in completeness without supplying a measurable outcome. The reviewer should not offer account-recovery or deleted-message retrieval promises. Preservation is about lawful records already available to the reader, not scraping restricted rooms or circumventing protective settings.
Conclude at the version boundary
A finished change packet includes versions, independent capture references, rule identity and the consequence that can actually be established. It may show that a stop was different at two observations while leaving the precise edit time unknown. It may show a late recap contradicting a retained original. Different evidence states deserve different wording, rather than a single green verified badge.
A matching timestamp for some original bytes can strengthen a timing claim within its payload scope. It cannot reconstruct uncommitted fields, deleted population members or subscriber fills. Keep the timing proof and complete message archive beside each other. Readers should be able to understand exactly which discrepancy is established without relying on the publication's featured recommendation.
Completed fictional case
Fictional message M21 is first captured at 09:00 with stop 95. A second capture at 09:04 shows stop 97. At 09:20 the reviewer cannot find the message. The packet retains both captures and the final access observation.
Conclusion: two observed stop versions and later unavailability. The precise edit clock, reason for removal, market execution and final account outcome remain unknown. Neither a loss nor a rescued win is manufactured from the disappearance.
| Record | Represented finding | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| 09:00 capture | Stop 95 | Observed version one |
| 09:04 capture | Stop 97 | Observed version two |
| 09:20 lookup | Message unavailable | Outcome and reason unresolved |
